Postdoctoral Fellow Opportunity | Multi-Omics, Hybrid AI, and Pulse Crop Improvement The Dry Bean Breeding & Computational Biology Program at the University of Guelph is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our interdisciplinary research team. This position will focus on integrating genomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, phenomics, molecular biology, and environmental data using hybrid AI approaches to support pulse crop improvement. Research will involve dry bean, adzuki bean, and related pulse crops, with applications in disease resistance, seed quality, nutritional value, yield stability, climate resilience, and breeding decision support. We are especially interested in candidates with experience in areas such as: · Multi-omics integration and bioinformatics · Plant breeding, genetics, or molecular biology · Machine learning, AI, statistical genetics, or computational biology · R, Python, sequencing data, and large biological datasets · Molecular, greenhouse, field, or laboratory research Location: University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada Expected start date: September 2026, with some flexibility Salary: CAD $55,000–$60,000 per year plus benefits, negotiable Application deadline: August 10, 2026 Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
