The Opportunity: Reporting to the Sr. Manager, National Pharmacy Operations, the Pharmacy Implementation Manager represents pharmacy operations across new program launches, expansions, and change initiatives for the national pharmacy network. The role acts as the pharmacy subject matter expert on cross-functional implementation teams, translating program design and manufacturer requirements into pharmacy workflows, standard operating procedures, work instructions, reporting, and staffing plans that can be applied consistently across all regions. Working closely with regional pharmacy leadership, pharmacy trainers, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, IT, and Program Management, the incumbent ensures each launch is operationally ready, compliant with the regulatory and accreditation requirements of each province of operation, and sustainable once transitioned to steady state operations. A Day in the Life (What you will do here): * Represent pharmacy operations on cross-functional implementation teams for new program launches nationally, from business award through go-live and transition to steady state. * Participate in program launch meetings, design workshops, and cross-functional working sessions with internal stakeholders and manufacturer partners as the standing pharmacy representative. * Advise on program design where pharmacy is impacted, providing input on operational feasibility, turnaround times, patient and prescriber experience, system and reporting implications, and downstream operational impacts before designs are finalized. * Translate program design documents, manufacturer requirements, and business rules into pharmacy operational requirements, workflows, and process maps. * Lead pharmacy readiness activities for new Patient Support Programs, product launches, and program expansions across the national pharmacy network, including gap assessments, implementation plans, timelines, and go-live checklists. * Act as the pharmacy subject matter expert to Patient Support Programs, Provider Solutions, Clinic Services, Quality & PV, and IT on pharmacy capabilities, feasibility, and operational constraints. * Coordinate implementation activities with regional pharmacy leadership and site managers in all regions to ensure launches are executed consistently across the national network. * Partner with pharmacy trainers to develop and document national standard operating procedures and work instructions for new and changing programs, and move them through the document control, review, and approval process. * Coordinate training and competency plans with pharmacy trainers so that pharmacy staff are trained prior to go-live. * Submit and manage change requests for new and revised pharmacy reports, including defining requirements, coordinating user acceptance testing, and obtaining sign-off. * Work with regional pharmacy leads to assess head count needs for new programs and volume changes at each site, supporting workload analysis, hiring plans, and supporting business cases. * Define pharmacy system requirements for new programs and coordinate configuration with IT, vendors, and pharmacy management. * Identify, document, and escalate implementation risks, issues, and dependencies, and track them through to resolution. * Ensure implemented processes align with applicable regulatory, accreditation, privacy, and professional practice requirements in every province of operation, escalating questions to Legal, Quality, and Privacy as appropriate. * Maintain implementation documentation, including requirement traceability, decision logs, launch records, and post-implementation lessons learned. * Lead post-launch stabilization reviews and formal handover to pharmacy operations, confirming that procedures, reporting, and performance metrics are in place. * Represent pharmacy at client/manufacturer implementation meetings * Monitor performance metrics for newly launched programs and recommend continuous improvement actions to pharmacy leadership. * Standardize and share implementation practices across the national pharmacy network to sustain consistent national standards and processes while accommodating provincial differences. * Act as subject matter expert and provide project support on additional special projects as assigned, including system upgrades, new site openings, and standardization initiatives. * Additional duties as determined by your Manager What you need to ensure you are set up for success: * Minimum 5 years of pharmacy operations experience * Working knowledge of Patient Support Programs, specialty pharmacy services, reimbursement navigation, and manufacturer sponsored program models. * In-depth understanding of pharmacy workflows, dispensing operations, and pharmacy adjudication software (Kroll considered an asset). * Demonstrated experience authoring standard operating procedures and work instructions within a controlled document environment. * Comprehensive knowledge of provincial pharmacy regulations * Proven project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage several concurrent launches and competing deadlines. * Strong facilitation, written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to influence across functions without direct authority.
