Position Title: Pharmacy Clerk / Assistant Reports to: Pharmacy Manager Department: Operations Date: August 26, 2026 Job Location: Job Purpose: Please note this is a sterile IV compounding facility that is closed to the public. The duties will vary from that of a retail pharmacy clerk / assistant. Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager and Operations Manager and working collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians and assistants, the primary focus of the Pharmacy Clerk / Assistant at this facility is to input equipment / supply orders, manage the equipment / supplies required for medical infusions, communicate with patients regarding their orders, set up delivery runs, and biomedical reprocessing. Provide clerical support to other pharmacy staff to ensure timely and courteous customer / patient service. Principal Responsibilities: Customer Service * Maintain a neat and organized workspace * Accurately enter supply orders into Business Vision * Make supply kits required for medical infusion therapy * Accurately enter orders into the delivery portal * Organize and prepare orders for delivery runs to meet deadlines * Biomedical reprocessing of equipment (infusion pumps, IV poles, etc) * Answers phone calls to provide information to the customers and direct to the appropriate staff member if applicable Merchandising * Complete merchandising tasks as directed. Maintains efficient flow of merchandise from stock room to kitting area * Support putting away of medical supply skids / orders * Merchandise and maintains designated areas (i.e. shelf allocations, face up, singing, tagging etc) * Maintain standards of housekeeping * Advises appropriate person about stock outs/shortages * Performs stock counts and orders for designated areas * Attend training course as deemed necessary or beneficial Loss Prevention * Ensure loss prevention systems and procedures are performed according to guidelines * Maintains proper security of equipment and supplies * Comply with all health and safety regulations General * Ensures the standards of housekeeping and image are maintained * Presents proper image to the public (appearance, scrubs, name badge) * Perform other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd. Knowledge, skills and experience: * Post Secondary education required * Strong computer skills * Well organized, detail orientated and ability to record keep * Good communication skills both written and verbal * Ability to work independently but also to function as a part of a team Context and Environment: Must be able to perform in a fast paced and changing environment that requires a balance of teamwork and meeting store and customer expectations. Focus is on customer needs and procedural accordance. Providing assistance to the Pharmacy team to ensure that the needs or issues of the customers are met and resolved in a timely and professional manner. Must be able to work flexible shifts which may include nights and weekends. This job requires a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. Customer satisfaction must be high ensuring that customer order processes are efficient and meeting company standards. Ability to lift 50lbs and act as the frontline company representative to ensure the vision created by management is carried out in relation to the specific job. Please note that minimum availability required for this job are weekends and 2 evenings per week. Internal Communications: * Direct contact with Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacists and all Pharmacy Team Members * Front Store Manager, Assistant Front Store Manager, and all Front Store Staff External Communications: * Customers, nursing staff, Ontario Health at Home
