Job Description Summary:

The Production Technician (PT) will work under the supervision of the production manager on Scale-Up,Technical Transfer and production of newly developed formulations of Oral Thin Film (OTF) pharmaceutical products. The PT will assist the production team for all daily activities involved in the manufacturing and packaging in the production of OTF pharmaceutical products. The Production Technician (PT) will also assist in the development and maintenance of systems to ensure manufacturing control and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance within technical operations areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-process check testing during manufacturing and packaging processes.
  • Perform weighing and sampling activities
  • Operate the equipment necessary to produce and package pharmaceutical Oral Thin Film products
  • Review and update standard operating procedures (SOP's), manufacturing instructions and equipment and facility log books
  • Prepare, execute and review batch records
  • Write CAPA, deviation and investigation reports.
  • Ensure the compliance of technical operations with GMP requirements
  • Complete cleaning of pharmaceutical production equipment and rooms.
  • Communicate essential information to others within the company

Requirements:

  • College/technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline from a Canadian college or university or equivalent
  • French / English
  • Internship or work experience in a GMP environment in food, pharmaceuticals or cosmetics
  • Basic knowledge of GMP's
  • Leadership and organizational skills
  • Communication and writing skills
