The Part‑Time Pharmacist is responsible for the safe, accurate, and compliant dispensing of medications, providing clinical counselling to patients, and supporting daily pharmacy operations in accordance with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) standards and the Ontario Drug and Pharmacies Regulation Act. The Pharmacist ensures high‑quality patient care while contributing to efficient workflow within a community pharmacy setting in Whitby, Ontario. Key Responsibilities Dispensing & Verification — Review, interpret, and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, interactions, contraindications, and therapeutic suitability. Patient Counselling — Provide clear, evidence‑based counselling on prescription and OTC medications, chronic disease management, device use, and lifestyle considerations. Clinical Services — Perform OCP‑authorized services such as vaccinations, medication reviews (MedsCheck), smoking cessation counselling, and minor ailment prescribing (as permitted under Ontario regulations). Regulatory Compliance — Ensure all activities comply with OCP standards, federal/provincial legislation, and pharmacy policies, including documentation, record‑keeping, and privacy requirements. Inventory Management — Assist with ordering, receiving, storing, and managing medications, narcotics, and controlled substances in accordance with legal requirements. Collaboration — Work closely with pharmacy assistants, technicians, and clinic staff to maintain efficient workflow and exceptional patient service. Quality Assurance — Participate in continuous quality improvement, incident reporting, and adherence to best practices. Customer Service — Provide professional, courteous, and timely service to patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers. Qualifications Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP). Authorization to administer injections (OCP certification). Experience with Kroll Strong clinical judgement, communication skills, and patient‑focused approach. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. Previous community pharmacy experience preferred. Work Schedule Tuesdays and Wednesdays ( 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM) and every other Saturday (9:00 AM to 3:00 PM) Come Join our Incredible Team in Whitby!
