Company Description I.D.A. - I Care Pharmacy is a community-focused cosmetics and pharmacy business located at 11 Speedvale Ave E in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. The pharmacy serves local residents with a combination of prescription services, over-the-counter products, and cosmetic offerings. Team members work closely with the community to provide safe, reliable, and personalized care. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based in Guelph, ON. The Pharmacist will dispense and verify prescriptions, ensure accurate medication labeling, and provide counseling on proper use, side effects, interactions, and storage. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing patient profiles, collaborating with prescribers to clarify orders, and monitoring for potential therapeutic issues. The Pharmacist will oversee pharmacy workflow, support pharmacy assistants and technicians, manage inventory levels, and maintain compliance with all professional, legal, and safety standards. The role also involves delivering exceptional customer service, answering health-related questions, and contributing to health promotion and education initiatives within the pharmacy. Qualifications Licensure and education: Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist in Ontario, with a Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. Clinical and technical expertise: Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and prescription verification, with familiarity in both prescription and over-the-counter products. Regulatory and safety compliance: Ability to adhere to provincial and federal pharmacy regulations, privacy legislation, and best practices for medication safety and documentation. Communication and customer service: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and provide respectful, inclusive care to diverse patients. Organization and teamwork: Proven skills in time management, prioritization, and working effectively with pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment. Technology and systems: Competence with pharmacy management systems, electronic prescription platforms, and basic office software. Asset qualifications: Experience in community pharmacy, interest or experience in cosmetic and retail products, ability to communicate in additional languages, and current CPR/First Aid or relevant certifications.
